NEWS: Andrew Scott will star in new play Three Kings as part of the Old Vic’s In Camera season https://ift.tt/3hnsnEq

Following the success of The Old Vic’s socially distanced In Camera production of Lungs, featuring Claire Foy and Matt Smith, Andrew Scott will star in new Stephen Beresford play Three Kings, streamed live from the venue’s empty auditorium.

Directed by Matthew Warchus, the Old Vic’s artistic director, the one-man play has been written for Scott and will be streamed from 29 July to 1 August 2020, for just five performances. Tickets are priced between £10 and £40 and booking opens today (22 July).

By turns, hilarious and heartbreaking, Three Kings is about fathers and sons, the gifts and burdens of inheritance, and the unfathomable puzzle of human relationships.

Matthew Warchus commented:

“I am hugely grateful to Stephen for writing this play specially for the Old Vic: In Camera series and to Andrew for agreeing to perform it. Their generous support of the Old Vic at this critical time and their spirit of adventure in joining us in this crucial fundraising experiment is enormously appreciated.”

Scott, who won a number of awards for his recent role in the Old Vic production of Present Laughter, will also appear in conversation with broadcaster Dermot O’Leary following the performance on 1 August. Tickets for the event will cost £20.
